Rufus was complaining in a class on referral marketing that he didn’t have any networks other than a few business contacts. He claimed to lead a sheltered life and, while he acknowledged his family and friends, he couldn’t think of any other networks.
After some conversation, he revealed that his wife was the secretary of their local church that was particularly active in their community. Bingo! He had to ‘admit’ he was in a potentially very productive personal network.
